Purpose: The primary function of this position is to deliver program content in the classroom and LAB setting, provide consultation, and develop educational tools and training to corporate services business clients in the area of Chemical Processing and Instrument Technician.
Position Duties/Functions:
Applicant should be able to deliver course content in a classroom setting.
Incorporate field experience and technical knowledge into student presentations that emphasizes interactive, hands-on practice.
Facilitation/Instruction
The ability to deliver developed materials in an effective manner to attain desired outcomes and objectives and meet learners' needs.
Establish and maintain a learning environment to actively and freely promote learner engagement and participation.
Consultation
The ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner to determine audience, training gaps, desired outcomes and training focus.
Development
Create and/or define instructional content for training.
Ensure accuracy of instructional content.
Ensure that the course and program are meeting intended objectives, outcomes and requirements.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years' hands-on experience as operator with progressive responsibilities in major chemical plants
Operational experience in a) distillation, b) reactors, c) pumps and valves, d) usage of process diagrams such as P&ID and PFD, e) process instrumentation and control, f) process troubleshooting, g) process lock out / tag out and operational safety issues, and h) common work processes of chemical plants involving environmental and quality issues (EH&S, SPC, six sigma, etc.)
Prior teaching and leadership experience
Product or industry-specific experience
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Chemical Processing
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements

Bachelors or Master's degree preferred
