You Will Be Responsible For:
Performs repairs on air handlers such as bearings, shafts and blower wheels.
Repairs and replaces refrigeration coils, including chilled water coils.
Performs repairs on exhaust fan motors, bearings, shafts and blower wheels.
Performs major repairs on fan coil motors, water valves and thermostats.
Maintains proper operation of chillers.
Uses recovery unit and follows EPA regulations.
Properly uses all HVAC test equipment.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
General HVAC Master knowledge.
Ability to use all HVAC/refrigeration testing equipment.
Ability to recover Freon of all types (R-11, R-12, R-22, etc.).
General HVAC Journeyman Maintenance experience
Mechanical and electrical background.
Two years of building control systems experience.
Five years of experience in refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
EPA Universal Certification
High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
Job Summary:
HVAC master technician works on many different types of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Replaces motors and compressors of all sizes on A/C and refrigerant systems. Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic and DDC control systems. Uses test equipment and reads schematics. Installs and ensures operation of HVAC/refrigeration systems. Works independently. Uses recovery units and brazes and silver solders. Works odd hours and will be on call as needed.
