Overview
Site Protection Temporary Summer Employment
This position would be a great opportunity for students that are currently enrolled in a two or four year college program to work with our Site Protection technicians to provide assistance in support of summer projects and chaperoning contractors to various University buildings. This program runs from June 3, 2024 through end of August (flexible end date). We are looking for individuals that can commit to full time work, 5 days week/8 hours per day. Planned summer vacations are acceptable.
If selected, candidates will be contacted and offered a position. The job description and expectations will be discussed in greater detail at that time. The department has the right to reassign individuals throughout the summer if the need exists.
Rate is $17.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
As a Princeton University representative, individuals will escort contractors to various buildings for testing and inspections. Assist with document filing and computer work, including but not limited to, assisting technicians with their work orders. Janitorial duties such as cleaning mechanical rooms, work areas and vehicles. Painting piping and post indicator valves (âœPIVâ™s). Detailing emergency broadcast blue light towers. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the first day of work.
Must be a high school graduate.
Must be currently enrolled in 2 or 4 year accredited University or College pursuing a degree or Vocational School.
Must be able to commit to full time work, 40 hours per week.
Good communication skills.
Computer literacy.
Must be able to pass a background screen.
