Electric Technician II (Power Plant - Stanton Maintenance)
OUC - The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second largest municipal utility in Florida committed to serving the community and the environment is presently recruiting for an Electric Technician II to join the Power Plant Maintenance team.
We are looking for a self-motivated, creative professional to be responsible for the troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of OUC’s power plant electrical systems and equipment. The Tech II classification is expected to hone and develop the mastery of power plant electrical maintenance skills, focusing on a specific area of the Power Plant while becoming more familiar over time with other areas. They are expected to be able to work independently on simple to moderate tasks. Tech II electricians work with high voltage (up to 6.9 kv) systems. Systems and equipment include but are not limited to the supporting and auxiliary electrical systems within and on pumps, compressors, turbines, piping, valves, crushers, boilers, etc.

The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of four (4) years of power plant Electrical maintenance experience, OR seven (7) years of industrial Electrical maintenance experience
Certifications and specialized trainings to be required upon hire and to be maintained thereafter:
Completion of required General Physics (GPI) learnings and Job Performance Measures (JPMs) through Electric Technician III progression level (or equivalent skills training if external candidate)
