INITIAL PRIORITIES OF POSITION:

• Learn the culture, operations, and daily practices to ensure optimal golf course conditions and member experiences.
• Irrigation Tech will work with the Assistant Superintendent to schedule repairs and projects on a daily basis.
• Help schedule irrigation and hand water cool-season grass surfaces.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, APTITUDES, AND OTHER TRAITS:

• Assist in managing and maintaining golf course properties including golf course, clubhouse grounds and landscaping, open spaces, and operating equipment used to maintain these areas.
• Assists the Superintendent with planning and implementing budget and operating plans.
• Assisting with training, and supervising weekend staff.
• Responsibilities also include applying relevant landscaping, and horticultural principles to assure that quality standards are consistently achieved and/or exceeded.

3-5 years golf course irrigation repair, knowledge and understanding of commercial pumping stations, valve in head golf irrigation replacement and system tuning. Some overtime will be required.
