• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus:
  - a BS degree in a technical field and 4 years work experience or;
  - a technical institute, Adult BOCES certification, AA degree in a technical field, CCI program completion at BNL plus 8 years experience or;
  - a technical high school certification program (eg. BOCES) and 9 years relevant work experience or;
  - 10 years relevant work experience
• High degree of proficiency in the use of hand tools and electronic test instruments
• The ability to work from drawings, schematics and verbal instructions
• Must have excellent mechanical skills
• Must be able to operate vans and pickup vehicles
• Familiarity using screwdrivers, allen wrenches, crescent wrenches, adjustable wrenches, handheld drills, lathes, and drill presses
• Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Experience with mechanical maintenance and repair of power supplies and their associated equipment

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs
• Must be able to work from ladders at 6 feet

• Valid drivers' license
• This is a fully onsite position located at BNL
