Dakota County Technical College seeks a full-time unlimited Industrial and Energy Plant Mechanics and Maintenance Technology Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. Example of Duties:
Teach Industrial and Energy Plant Maintenance curriculum in a team environment
Develop and writs Industrial and Energy Plant Maintenance mechanical curriculum
Assist in student recruitment and placement for the Industrial and Energy Plant Maintenance
Advise and evaluate Industrial and Energy Plant Maintenance students
Required Qualifications:
Education Requirement
Two year diploma from an industrial mechanics and maintenance technology program.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in industrial mechanics and maintenance technology.
Recency Requirement
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Verified paid work experience with an emphasis on mechanical and electrical subsystems (pumps, motors, compressors, valves, gearboxes, lubricants, hydraulics, pneumatics, preventative maintenance, program logic controls, or corrective maintenance)
Teaching experience
Evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with diverse population
Strong organizational and management skills

Founded in 1970 Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public, two-year technical college in Rosemount, Minnesota. DCTC offers about 150 programs. DCTC will allows students the possibility to go right into work force after graduation. Students who graduate from DCTC gave a 90% chance of getting a job after graduation.

Salary: Full time faculty salaries currently range from $40,912 – $85,892 annually. Salary schedule placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2021-2023 Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.
Depending on credit load, the State of Minnesota offers:
Work assignment of 171 days (August – May)
Tuition Waiver (24 credits each year at any Minnesota State College or University)
