The Irrigation Specialist , under the supervision of the golf course superintendent is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system. Essential Responsibilities  Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads  Identifies leaks and makes necessary repairs in a timely manner  Waters greens, tees and fairways Operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water  Completes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies  Grades and prepares soil base: lays sod and seed. Operates light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris
