Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd shift

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment and components. These components may include: Pneumatic and hydraulic components, gearboxes and couplings, pumps, valves, pumping and piping systems.

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve systems components. These activities may include: motors, drive control components and I/O, Working knowledge of controls programming, Electrical sensors and field devices

• Perform basic fabrication and machining tasks: Set up and operate shop equipment and portable power tools, Set-up and perform basic stick/mig welding tasks, Use precision measuring equipment for machining
  
• Perform millwright tasks: Moving material, equipment and machinery using standard methods of lifting, rigging, hoisting, blocking, skidding and rolling. Level and tram rolls
  
• Perform Preventive, Predictive, and Emergency Maintenance inclusive of: Production equipment, material handling equipment, safety devices and facility utilities following standard procedures as indicated on PM route sheets or in equipment manuals, Set-up PM's on new equipment, Update PM's on existing equipment for frequency and job plan
  

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Must have Three (3) years of Maintenance experience in Industrial/manufacturing setting in a private, public, government, or military environment
• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Associates degree in an engineering related field (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or industrial maintenance field.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
