Design, install, repair and troubleshoot landscape irrigation system.
Repair or replace irrigation valves, controllers, heads and related equipment. Design and install new irrigation systems. Assist in reviewing construction plans and installation of new irrigation systems installed during construction projects. Responds to on-call emergencies before/during/after normal hours of operation. This includes but is not limited to: fires, electrical outages, floods, icy conditions and any other type of campus emergency. Operate computerized central control system for campus irrigation. Operate 521 wire locator. Operate trencher, bobcat and backhoe. Knowledge of AutoCAD computer aided design. Track materials and hours used in irrigation projects. Knowledge of pump maintenance and installation. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or GED. Three (3) years of experience performing irrigation maintenance and installation or the equivalent experience. Valid Texas irrigation license or ability to obtain one within (12) months. Valid Texas Class
