Short-term Temporary position lasting from 1 week to 2 months on average and requiring up to 100% travel. Doing services, repairs, and/or installs company products. Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures. Determines most cost-effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime. Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues.
Knowledge of safety procedures in an industrial environment Understands equipment data sheets and drawings including loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and P&IDs Knowledge of pneumatics, basic AC/DC circuitry and related test equipment Knowledge of the fundamentals of process measurement including temperature, pressure, flow and level Capable of setup and calibration of instrumentation and valves Performs loop checks and troubleshoots discrete and analog signals Produces and/or revises technical documents to indicate instrument calibration and field wiring changes Supports system commissioning from the control room console Knowledgeable of control system architecture including hardware, software, instrumentation and networking equipment Basic understanding of analog and batch control Learns and applies client and company standards and procedures Capable of providing technical support of PLC/DCS/HMI configuration based hardware and software Maintains reports to track issues, solutions, and customer improvement initiatives Knowledge of the control methods to develop sustainable DCS, PLC and HMI applications Responsible for testing and debugging applications in preparation for deployment Loop-shooting skills, ability to troubleshoot control wiring, etc. Calibration capability, repair/rebuild control valves
