The Irrigation Technician for the University of Louisville Golf Club, under the supervision of the Senior Assistant Superintendent, is responsible for the programming, operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system(s). The irrigation technician is required to report any irregularities in course turf quality to the Senior Assistant Superintendent.
High school diploma and two years of related experience. Must have valid driver's license and be insurable by University's carrier to drive vehicles. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Employment physical will be required. Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and working knowledge of various types of pumbs and pumping systems. Understanding of agronomy, turfgrass science and the rules of golf. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Pay Grade NC. Wage Minimum $12.54/hr.
